Race Day Routine

It’s better to be early than late - pad the schedule! Kids forget shoes and helmets, parents get lost, highways have construction, the car needs gas, etc. A little pre-planning the night before the race results in a much more pleasing and relaxing day.

Timeline for Junior 9-14 Race (Chicago Cyclocross Cup)
7:00  Eat - Eat early enough and light enough so that you won’t have a full stomach at race time. We don’t want to see your breakfast on the finish line!
8:40  Early/First Course  Pre-Ride Opportunity
9:00   Arrive at Team Tent - Recommended arrival time to get in 2 “pre-rides” of the course and to help set up the tent compound
9:35    Second Course Pre-Ride Opportunity
9:25    Get Race Number @ Registration Tent
10:25  Third Course Pre-Ride Opportunity
10:20  Tire Pressure Check
10:30  Warmup (ride, run, jump, trainer)
11:10  Staging for Race
11:25  Race
